Courthouse Bldg. Accessibility Information Soldier Township Blaze Injures None, Destroys Home, Leads State Fire Marshal to Investigate
On 10-17-09 at 0030 hours Shawnee County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Soldier Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire at 3212 NW Rochester. Upon their arrival at 0033 hours the residence was fully involved. No one was home at the time of the blaze and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Other agencies that assisted Soldier Fire included the Topeka Fire Dept., Silver Lake, and Shawnee Heights Fire Dept’s. The house was a total loss.
