Public H1N1 Clinic Time Change

In an effort to make the H1N1 vaccinations available to a greater number of individuals within the targeted populations, the Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA), has changed the hours of the next two scheduled public clinics. These clinics will take place on Thursday, November 12th and Thursday, November 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kansas Expocentre, or until vaccine supplies run out, whichever occurs first.

Vaccine available at these clinics will be directed to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Healthcare workers with direct contact with patients
  • Pregnant women
  • Children 6 months through 18 years of age
  • Caregivers of children 6 months and younger

As a reminder, anyone 9 years of age or younger receiving the H1N1 vaccine will require a second dose of the vaccine 28 days after the first dose. The Health Agency is working with local medical providers as well as planning for additional public clinics to accommodate this need. Please stay tuned to local media outlets and 2-1-1 for additional information.

  • Cover your cough and sneeze
  • Wash your hands.
