SCABA Overview

Welcome to SCABA baseball. You can find some important general information here, but you can find even more on the official site.

Youth Overview

Shawnee County Parks & Recreation T-Ball program is a recreational league in which sportsmanship and fundamentals are emphasized.

  • This is a CO-ED league offered in the summer for 4-5 year olds boys and girls.
  • All equipment (excluding ball gloves) is provided by SCPR.
  • Leagues are played at Shawnee North Community Park or Shawnee South Community Park. Parents choose the location when registering.
  • The league is five weeks in length.
  • Registration fee includes a team shirt.
  • Parents are asked to volunteer to coach.

Free Umpire Clinic

Who: Beginner or veteran baseball umpires who are 16 years of age or older.

What to bring: Any equipment and outfits you own. Not mandatory but you should bring it.

Topeka Premier Umpire Camp is hosting their first spring umpire clinic. Shawnee County Parks and Recreation is cooperating with TPUC for training of our league and tourney umpires. Attendance at this clinic is required for umpires working the SCABA league or any tournaments at the Lake Shawnee Sports Complex in 2010. The clinic is free!
