Lessons

Tennis lessons cover the strategy of tennis, stroke development and consistency, coordination and fun. These lessons are for youth (minimum 6 years of age) or adults designed as an introduction to the game or to improve existing skills! Coordination, drills and consistent ball contact is emphasized. Learning the game and developing into a consistent player in terms of knowledge, repetition, stroke and stamina are what make a good tennis player. Mike Brassel will lead these lessons. Most sessions (except 3rd session) are M/W/F/M/W in format. Sessions and times listed below.

  • Fall Session · Aug. 22 – 31

Times are as follows for all tennis lesson sessions:

Beginners (Ages 6 - 10) 6 – 7 p.m.
Intermediate/Advanced (Ages 10 – 14) 7 – 8 p.m.
Advanced (Ages 15 & older) 8 – 9 p.m.

Drills

Drills are an important part of every tennis player’s development. Drills will emphasize competitive point plays, strategies and tactics, mental toughness, and simulated match play to help prepare players for higher competition. Players should be able to rally and serve with consistency to participate. There will be 4 × 1-½ hour drill times per session.

Fall Session Sept 6 – 15 Times are as follows for all tennis sessions:
  • Intermediate: 6 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Advanced: 7:30 – 9 p.m.
