Walk in or call 785.267.1156 for shelter reservations.
Payment must be made in full at time of reservation.
Refunds given only if cancellation is received 14 or more days prior to the reservation date. A 10% fee will be deducted on all refunds. No refunds for inclement weather.
Shelter Reservations for 2011 will be taken starting September 13, 2010: walk-in only 8 a.m.-1 p.m., phone-in/walk-in beginning at 1 p.m.-5 p.m..
Lake Shawnee
Shelter 1
3400 SE Leisure Lane—Overlooks the lake and has open windows and doors, 13 picnic tables and seats 120 people. Shelter 1 is available from April 1–October 31 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.

Shelter 2
3410 SE Leisure Lane—Completely enclosed with full kitchen, folding tables and chairs. Seats 50 people. Air-conditioned. Shelter 2 is available from April 1–October 31 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.
Shelter 4
3126 SE Tinman Circle—Open-sided with grill and picnic tables. Seats 120 people. Shelter 4 is available from April 1–October 31 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.

Shelter 5
3225 SE Tinman Circle—Open-sided with grills. Seats a total of 120 people with only 5 of the picnic tables under the roof. Shelter 5 is available from April 1–October 31 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.

Yacht Club
3725 SE Yacht Ct.—This shelter has a large deck and patio that overlooks the lake. Full Kitchen. Minimum seating inside. Air-conditioned. Seating capacity: 40. The Yacht Club is available from April 1–October 31 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.

Garden House
3720 SE Yacht Ct.—The Garden House is located on the east side of Ted Ensley Gardens. This heated and air-conditioned facility has a view of the lake from a large tree-shaded deck; fireplace, full kitchen and restrooms. Its proximity to the rose garden makes it an excellent location for wedding receptions and anniversary parties and seats 70 people. The Garden House is available year-round M–F 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.; Sat, Sun & Holiday hours are 8 a.m.—11 p.m.

Reynolds Lodge
3315 SE Tinman Circle—This rustic lodge seats up to 200 people and features a kitchen, fireplace and restrooms. It is heated and air-conditioned and is available year-round M-F 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-11 p.m.; Sat, Sun and Holiday hours are 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Shelter 3
3916 SE Memory Point—Enclosed with a beautiful tree-shaded deck, fireplace, kitchen, restrooms, folding tables and chairs and seats 80 people. Heated and air-conditioned and is available year-round 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-11 p.m.

Shelter 6
3521 SE East Edge Road—Completely enclosed shelter with a scenic view of the lake through large windows. It has a large outside grill, complete kitchen, restrooms, patio, folding chairs and tables. It is heated and air-conditioned and seats 80 people. Shelter 6 is available year-round 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-11 p.m.

Gazebo 1
Located in the Ted Ensley Gardens at SE 37th & West Edge Road, the Gazebo is surrounded by flower beds, 600 rose bushes, scenic ponds, and waterfalls. It is a popular setting for weddings. A brick patio seats 75 people. Gazebo 1 is available everyday from 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Gazebo 2
Located just north of shelter #3, this very private gazebo overlooks the lake. It is another popular wedding location and seats 40 people. Gazebo 2 is available everyday from 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Garden Pergola
This new facility is nestled into the garden area located east of the Ted Ensley Gardens, right along the lake front. The open air structure can facilitate up to 90 people and is adjacent to the Garden House. The immediate area boasts a pond, two gurgling streams. many colorful flower beds, native trees and a sidewalk that encompasses the whole site. Ample shade is available to escape those hot Summer days and is situated as to give full view of beautiful Lake Shawnee. The Garden Pergola is available everyday from 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Our open-sided shelter includes a grill and six picnic tables under the roof. Rest rooms are attached. Its location is perfect for families and friends who also want to use the pool, nature trail, park’s playground, and green space. Ball diamonds, sand volleyball courts, and pool rentals are also available at additional charges.
Shelter rentals are available for time periods of 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-11 p.m. The Shawnee North Shelter is available for rental April 1–October 31: $75/period
