Punch Passes

Punch passes for youth and adults are available year round at the Shawnee North Community Center. Call 785.286.0676 to purchase by phone using Visa/Mastercard or stop by the center. Our passes make great gifts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can we bring our own food and drinks?
A: Outside food or beverages are prohibited in the facility. Picnic tables are available in the park located outside the facility for public use.
Q: Can we bring in floatation devices?
A: No, we do not allow outside flotation devices. We do have lifejackets free of charge for public use and tubes are provided for Lazy River use.
Q: Do you have lifejackets?
A: Lifejackets are available free of charge. No outside floatation devices are available in the facility.
Q: What temperature is your water?
A: We have 3 pools with different water temperature:
Lap Pool/Dive Well – 83° Wading Pool - 85° Lazy River - 85°
Q: What is your dress code? Can I wear a T-shirt?
A: Swimsuits without rivets are required. Denim, cut-offs or shorts with exposed buttons or zippers are not permitted. Light colored T-shirts can be worn, but must be taken off when riding the slides.
Q: Why can’t there be rivets on my swimsuit?
A: rivets cause damage to the slide surface.
Q: Is there an age limit?
A: Children and adults of any age are welcome to the park. Infants and Toddlers must wear a swim diaper in the pools. Disposable diapers are not permitted. Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible supervisor 18 years or older in the water.
Q: How old do you have to be to go down the slides? Can we go down together?
A: Children must be 48 inches tall to ride the slides. Only one rider allowed down the slide at a time. There are two small slides available for younger children in our kiddie pool.
Q: Do I have to pay full admission price just to watch my child ?
A: Yes, a responsible supervisor 18 years or older must be paid for and swimming with a child 10 years or younger.
Q: Do you have a group rate?
A: We have punch cards available.
Q: Do you have a snack bar?
A: The concessions are available during all open swim hours.
Q: Can we bring our own food?
A: Outside food or beverages are prohibited in the facility. Picnic tables are available in the park area located outside the facility for public use. Our park has a shelter house available to rent.
Q: Is it all outdoors?
A: YES, All of our swimming facilities are outdoors.
Q: When is lap swim?
A: Lap swim is available most any time the facility is open to the general public.
Q: How long is your lap pool?
A: We have a 25 yard lap pool. A swimmer must swim 72 lengths of the pool to equal 1 mile.
Q: Do you have water aerobics?
A: Yes, we have water aerobics and water walking classes.
Q: Do you have birthday party packages?
A: Sorry, we do not offer any birthday party package. We do have a shelter house beside the aquatic park that may be rented out for parties with RESERVATION ONLY. We also have amble green space available outside the pool for picnics.
Q: What is your bad weather policy?
A: Management reserves the right to close the pool early for swim meets, threatening weather, low attendance, emergencies, cleaning, and for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Q: What is your bad weather refund policy?
A: On a cloudy, rainy day , we will give you a receipt , if the facility is closed within the hour of the time on your receipt, bring your receipt back to the admission office and they will give a pass.
Q: Can we return into the facility if we leave?
A: Yes, for the same calendar day, make sure a get a stamp before you leave otherwise you will not be allowed back in the facility.
